Isn't it amazing when beautiful clothes are minimalistic and comfortable, yet extremely stylish and chic at the same time? Such gorgeously Strung Together pieces from Sreejith Jeevan's brand Rouka are a treat for the sore eyes.
When I chanced upon his creations at the Lakme Fashion Week, I fell in love with some unique and exemplary pieces of craft. And when he sent me a few pieces of this newest collection, just imagine my surprise. No sooner did I lay my eyes on this metallic simple skirt, I knew exactly how I'd love to style it. With a simple black top and kitten heels, and let the skirt do all the talking.
The look is such a simple one, yet the compliments I received for it when I wore it to a recent event reinforced my belief in the fact that there is more beauty in simplicity than we could imagine. I felt beautiful, feminine and the silhouette that the outfit created was alluring.
The design detail on the skirt brought attention to the outfit not only when left open as it is, as well when strung together to adorn it like a ball-round skirt, which I don't have pictures for to show you but soon shall. The designs are what you make of it, strung the way you would like each piece to be. The outfit spoke to me through its simple appeal and told a story of its own.
I wanted to bring out the marriage of the minimum, to show that style is not all about fashion-forward clothing or an array of colours. It's all about balance.
What are your thoughts?
